Chief information officer

Sec. 3. (a) The governor shall appoint a chief information officer of the office, who serves at the pleasure of the governor.       (b) The chief information officer: (1) is the executive head of the office; (2) is responsible for strategic planning and the architecture for information technology functions of state government; and (3) shall provide leadership for information technology issues facing state agencies.
