Eligibility for employment; physical examinations; age requirements

Sec. 17. (a) The local board may require and provide for a physical examination of applicants for employment in the fire department.       (b) A person who: (1) is at least thirty-six (36) years of age; or (2) fails to pass the physical examination required by the local board; may not be appointed, reappointed, or reinstated as a member of the fire department.
