Sec. 9.5. (a) This section applies to a county having a consolidated city. (b) The communications system may be combined or shared with the public service radio system. (c) The board may do the following for the combined or shared system: (1) Authorize expenditures from the district's operational funds. (2) Exercise all of the powers listed in section 9 of this chapter. (d) The board may not do the following for the combined or shared system: (1) Authorize expenditures for facilities or services related only to public service radio. (2) Have authority over planning or other decisions for public service radio.
