Sec. 6. (a) This section applies to any eligible political subdivision authorized to join the MPO under section 4 of this chapter. (b) An eligible political subdivision described in subsection (a) may withdraw from the MPO without the approval of the MPO. However, the withdrawal of a county does not affect the membership of eligible political subdivisions within that county that are already members of the MPO. The MPO shall provide a process for withdrawal from the MPO in the MPO's bylaws. (c) The MPO shall notify the governor's office promptly in writing when a member withdraws from the MPO.
