Sec. 34. (a) The redevelopment commission may prepare a workable program: (1) to use private and public resources to eliminate and prevent the conditions described in IC 36-7-1-3 in urban areas; (2) to encourage needed urban rehabilitation; (3) to provide for the redevelopment of areas needing redevelopment; or (4) to undertake any feasible activities that are suitably employed to achieve the objectives of such a program. (b) A program established under subsection (a) may include an official plan of action for: (1) effectively dealing with the problem of areas needing redevelopment within the community; and (2) the establishment and preservation of a well planned community with well organized residential neighborhoods of decent homes and suitable living environment for adequate family life.
