Creation of preservation commission

Sec. 18. (a) Upon designating a preservation area and the primary and secondary areas of the preservation area, the legislative body of the municipality shall create a commission to be known as the "______________ Preservation Commission". The legislative body shall give: (1) the name of the city or town in which the area to be preserved is located; (2) the name of the area to be preserved; or (3) both; to the preservation commission.       (b) The commission has the powers and shall exercise the duties prescribed by this chapter for the area.
