Sec. 4.6. An ordinance that establishes a historic preservation commission under section 4 of this chapter may: (1) authorize the commission to: (A) acquire by purchase, gift, grant, bequest, devise, or lease any real or personal property, including easements, that is appropriate for carrying out the purposes of the commission; (B) hold title to real and personal property; and (C) sell, lease, rent, or otherwise dispose of real and personal property at a public or private sale on the terms and conditions that the commission considers best; and (2) establish procedures that the commission must follow in acquiring and disposing of property.
