Indiana Code § 36-2-6-11

Charge of claim against appropriation; apportionment

Sec. 11. Whenever the county auditor draws a warrant for a claim under this chapter the county auditor shall charge the claim against the appropriation made for that purpose. If the claim is for materials, supplies, or labor for more than one (1) officer or institution, the county auditor shall apportion the claim and charge the proper amount against the appropriation for each officer or institution. Similar apportionments shall be made in other cases in which a claim should be charged to more than one (1) appropriation. [Pre-Local Government Recodification Citation: 17-1-24-43.]
