Election of fiscal body; terms

Sec. 3. (a) The fiscal body shall be elected under IC 3-10-2-13 . Except in a county having only single-member districts, members elected from districts and at large members, respectively, are to be elected in alternate, succeeding general elections under section 4 of this chapter. In a county having only single-member districts, the terms of the members are staggered as was provided by law before September 1, 1980.       (b) The term of office of a member of the fiscal body is four (4) years, beginning January 1 after election and continuing until a successor is elected and qualified.
