Indiana Code § 36-2-2-15

Administration of oaths; enforcement powers of executive; execution of executive orders by county sheriff

Sec. 15. (a) The county auditor or a member of the executive may administer all oaths required by this chapter.       (b) The executive may: (1) punish contempt by a fine of not more than three dollars ($3) or by imprisonment for not more than twenty-four (24) hours; and (2) enforce its orders by attachment or other compulsory process.       (c) Fines assessed by the executive shall be executed, collected, and paid over in the same manner as other fines.       (d) The county sheriff or a county police officer shall attend the meetings of the executive, if requested by the executive, and shall execute its orders.
