Sec. 1. (a) This chapter applies to each second class city in which the legislative body has adopted all or part of this chapter by ordinance. (b) This chapter applies to each third class city in which the legislative body has adopted all or part of this chapter by ordinance. (c) In addition, in a consolidated city sections 9(a) and 12 through 40 of this chapter apply to the department of parks and recreation and the board of parks and recreation, subject to IC 36-3-4-23 .
