Indiana Code § 35-45-12-2

Criminal use or possession of code grabbing device

Sec. 2. A person who, while committing a crime or to further the commission of a crime, knowingly or intentionally: (1) possesses a code grabbing device; or (2) uses a code grabbing device to disarm the security alarm system of a motor vehicle; commits a Class C infraction. However, the violation is a Class C misdemeanor if the person has a prior unrelated adjudication or conviction for a violation of this section within the previous five (5) years.   IC 35-45-13 Chapter 13.
