Recognizance binding upon real estate

Sec. 4. A recognizance binds the real estate of the principal from the time it is taken. A recognizance only binds the real estate of the surety, however, from the time judgment of forfeiture is rendered. [Pre-1998 Recodification Citation: 34-1-45-4.]
