Indiana Code § 34-30-30-1

"Domestic animal"

Sec. 1. (a) As used in this chapter, "domestic animal" means a dog, cat, or other vertebrate animal that is domesticated and: (1) kept as a household pet; or (2) intended to be kept as a household pet.       (b) The term does not include an animal to which the definition of "livestock" set forth in IC 15-11-5-1 applies.
