Indiana Code § 33-24-9-1

Taxing fees and costs; collection of fees, costs, and executions

Sec. 1. In all cases brought to the supreme court by appeal, in which an appeal bond is executed by the plaintiff in the appeal, the clerk of the supreme court shall: (1) tax all fees and costs for which the plaintiff is liable in the court, against the principal and sureties on the bonds, as though they were co-plaintiffs or co-defendants; (2) issue fee bills or executions for the collection of the fees or costs and executions; and (3) collect all judgments that are rendered by the court against the plaintiffs, against the principals and sureties jointly.
