Sec. 23. (a) The department shall establish a permanency roundtable (as defined in IC 31-9-2-88.7 ). The permanency roundtable shall review: (1) a child's permanency plan under IC 31-34-21-5.7 if the child is placed in a child caring institution, group home, or private secure facility; and (2) a child's permanency plan under IC 31-37-20-3 if the child is placed in a child caring institution, group home, or private secure facility; and make recommendations to the court. (b) The department shall establish a residential placement committee (as defined in IC 31-9-2-109.5 ). The residential placement committee shall, before a case plan is approved by the local office or court, review: (1) a child's placement in a child caring institution, group home, or private secure facility under IC 31-34-15-2 ; and (2) a child's placement in a child caring institution, group home, or private secure facility under IC 31-37-19-1.5 if the placement is contrary to the department's recommendation under IC 31-37-17-1.4 ; and make recommendations to the court.
