Sec. 4.5. (a) The bureau shall send notice to an employer, using the National Medical Support Notice described in 45 CFR 303.32, that: (1) a parent ordered to pay support has been ordered to provide insurance coverage as part of the parent's employee benefit plan under IC 31-16-6-4 ; or (2) an obligation to provide insurance coverage under subdivision (1) is no longer in effect. (b) Upon receipt of the notice under subsection (a), the employer shall: (1) respond to the notice in a timely fashion; (2) transfer the National Medical Support Notice to the employer's health insurance plan within twenty (20) days after the date of the National Medical Support Notice; and (3) abide by the terms of establishing insurance coverage as required by the notice.
