Sec. 9. A candidate for the office of governor or lieutenant governor: (1) must have been a United States citizen for at least five (5) years before the election; (2) must have resided in the state for at least five (5) years before the election; (3) must be thirty (30) years old upon taking office; and (4) may not hold any other office of the United States or of this state upon taking office; as provided in Article 5, Sections 7 and 8 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.
