County sheriff to provide report of incarcerated residents; contents of report

Sec. 6. (a) At least once a quarter, and not later than: (1) January 31; (2) April 30; (3) July 31; and (4) October 31; of each year, a county sheriff shall provide the county voter registration office with a report containing the information set forth in subsection (b) for processing under section 8 of this chapter.       (b) The report required by subsection (a) must identify each person who: (1) is a resident of Indiana; (2) has been convicted of a crime; and (3) has been placed in a county correctional facility after the last date the sheriff prepared a report required by subsection (a).       (c) The report must be in the form prescribed by the election division under IC 3-5-4-8 and state: (1) whether the person remains in lawful custody in a county correctional facility as of the date of the report; and (2) if the person remains in lawful custody, the date that the person is scheduled to be released from the county correctional facility.
