Sec. 28. A town election board shall appoint the persons who are nominated under sections 26 and 27 of this chapter. A vacancy in an office shall be filled by an appointment made upon the recommendation of the board member who nominated the original officer. [Pre-1986 Recodification Citation: 3-2-7.6-14(c).]
