Notice of election; information to be published; filing

Sec. 2. (a) Each county election board shall give notice of a general election and publish a statement in accordance with IC 5-3-1 stating the following information: (1) The offices to be filled. (2) The text of the judicial retention and other public questions to be submitted to the voters. (3) The dates, times, and locations of voting at the circuit court clerk's office and at satellite offices under IC 3-11-10-26 .       (b) The county election board shall file a copy of the information required by subsection (a): (1) with the election division; and (2) in the minutes of the county election board.       (c) The county election board shall file the copies required under subsection (b) with the election division and in the minutes of the county election board not later than noon, ten (10) days before election day. However, an election is not invalidated by the failure of the board to perform this duty. [Pre-1986 Recodification Citation: 3-1-21-2.]
