License not transferrable or assignable; branch locations

Sec. 9. (a) As used in this section, "branch location" means a location that: (1) is maintained by a person licensed or required to be licensed under this chapter; (2) is located somewhere other than the person's main office location; and (3) does not constitute a separate legal entity from, or a subsidiary of, the person.       (b) Except in a transaction approved under section 9.1 of this chapter, a license is not transferable or assignable. Subject to section 10 of this chapter, one (1) or more branch locations may be maintained under the same license. Formerly: Acts 1935, c.195, s.9.
