Indiana Code § 27-2-23-5

"Death master file"

Sec. 5. As used in this chapter, "death master file" refers to: (1) the federal Social Security Administration's Death Master File; or (2) another data source that, for the purpose of determining that a person is reported to have died, is at least as comprehensive as the federal Social Security Administration's Death Master File.
