Coordination of benefits provision; purpose

Sec. 1. Health maintenance organizations may adopt a coordination of benefits provision to: (1) avoid overinsurance; and (2) provide for the orderly payment of a claim when a person is covered by two (2) or more group health insurance or health care plans.
