Contracting with health maintenance organizations to provide insurance coverage

Sec. 4. An insurer or a hospital may contract with a health maintenance organization to provide to the health maintenance organization: (1) insurance coverage or similar protection against the cost of health care services provided through the health maintenance organization; or (2) insurance coverage in the event of the failure of the health maintenance organization to meet its obligations to enrollees or providers.
