Sec. 3.9. (a) As used in this chapter, except as provided in subsection (b), "health care provider" means an individual who holds a license issued by a board described in IC 25-0.5-11 . (b) The term does not include the following: (1) A dentist licensed under IC 25-14 . (2) An optometrist licensed under IC 25-24 . (3) A veterinarian licensed under IC 25-38.1 .
