Sec. 3. As used in this chapter, "automated claims adjudication system" means a preprogrammed computer system that: (1) is designed for the collection, data entry, calculation, and system generated final resolution of property insurance claims; (2) is used only by a licensee or a person described in section 6(b)(2) or 6(b)(3) of this chapter; (3) complies with all claim payment requirements under Indiana insurance law; and (4) is certified as compliant with the claims adjudication requirements of this chapter by an individual who is an: (A) independent adjuster who is licensed under this chapter; and (B) officer of a business entity that is licensed under this chapter.
