Indiana Code § 25-34.1-9-19

Waiver conditions; continuing education requirement; prohibited activity

Sec. 19. The commission may grant an applicant a waiver from the continuing education requirement for the renewal period if the applicant meets one (1) of the following conditions: (1) Was not able to fulfill the requirement due to a hardship that resulted from any of the following: (A) Service in the armed forces of the United States during a substantial part of the renewal period. (B) An incapacitating illness. (C) Other circumstances determined by the commission. (2) Has certified on approved forms to the commission the following: (A) That the applicant has an active license but will not perform an act that requires a broker's license. (B) That the applicant is affiliated with a managing broker for the sole purpose of making referrals to a licensed broker. An individual granted a waiver under this subdivision may not perform an act that requires a broker's license until the individual has fulfilled the same continuing education requirements needed to reactivate an inactive license under IC 25-34.1-3-10 (c) and IC 25-34.1-3-10 (d) and applicable requirements under IC 25-34.1-3-10.5 .
