Sec. 3. It shall be unlawful for a person to: (1) engage in business as a private investigator firm; (2) solicit or advertise for business as a private investigator firm; or (3) represent or hold the person out as a private investigator firm; unless the person is licensed as a private investigator firm under this chapter and complies with this chapter and rules adopted under this chapter.
