Active and inactive pharmacists

Sec. 13. (a) A person holding a pharmacist license shall be considered an active pharmacist if his fees are current and he has complied with all continuing education requirements.       (b) Any active pharmacist either by his own choice or by action of the board after hearing, may be classified as an inactive pharmacist. An inactive pharmacist may maintain his license by paying his license fees. An inactive pharmacist is exempt from the continuing education requirements. A person may not actively engage in the practice of pharmacy while classified as an inactive pharmacist.       (c) A person classified as an inactive pharmacist may reactivate his license by meeting current continuing education requirements and successfully demonstrating to the board's satisfaction his ability to actively practice as a pharmacist.
