Clinical preceptor qualifications; rules

Sec. 20.3. (a) As used in this section, "clinical preceptor" means an individual who is: (1) employed by a cooperating agency; and (2) responsible for supervising one (1) nursing student at a time in a clinical facility.       (b) As used in this section, "cooperating agency" means an institution that cooperates with a nursing program to provide clinical facilities for the clinical experiences (as defined in section 20.2 of this chapter) of nursing students.       (c) Each clinical preceptor must be a nurse licensed under this article.       (d) Not later than July 1, 2025, the board shall adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement this section.
