Sec. 8. "Nonstructural or nonseismic" means interior elements or components that: (1) are not load bearing or do not assist in the seismic design of a building; (2) do not require design computations for the structure of a building; and (3) do not include the structural frame system supporting a building. The term includes ceiling and partition systems that employ normal and typical bracing conventions and are not part of the structural integrity of the building.
