Inactive status; prohibition; license renewal; application

Sec. 9.5. (a) Subject to IC 25-1-8-6 , a health facility administrator or residential care administrator whose license is in inactive status may apply to the board to renew the administrator's license.       (b) A health facility administrator or residential care administrator while in an inactive status may not practice as a health facility administrator or residential care administrator.       (c) A licensed health facility administrator who has been inactive must show proof of having completed forty (40) hours of continuing education within the two (2) year period immediately before the date the reactivation application is filed.       (d) A licensed residential care administrator who has been inactive must show proof of having completed twenty (20) hours of continuing education within the two (2) year period immediately before the date the reactivation application is filed.       (e) The board may request that a licensed health facility administrator or residential care administrator who has been inactive for a period of more than three (3) years at the date the reactivation application is filed make a personal appearance before the board to answer any questions from the board about the application that are unresolved before making a determination on the application.
