Required notice to Indiana residents

Sec. 4. The division shall notify Indiana residents of the following: (1) The rights and duties created by this article, including the right of any of the following consumers to place a telephone number on the listing established and maintained under section 1 of this chapter: (A) Subscribers of interconnected VOIP service. (B) Subscribers of mobile telecommunications service (as defined in IC 6-8.1-15-7 ). (C) Users of a prepaid wireless calling service, as described in IC 24-4.7-2-2 (b). (2) The prohibition under 47 U.S.C. 227(b) against a person making any call using an: (A) automatic telephone dialing system; or (B) artificial or prerecorded voice; to any telephone number assigned to a mobile telecommunications service (as defined in IC 6-8.1-15-7 ), or to another radio common carrier service. (3) The prohibition under 47 U.S.C. 227(b) against a person initiating any telephone call to any residential telephone line using an artificial or prerecorded voice to deliver a message without the prior consent of the called party, subject to the exceptions set forth in 47 U.S.C. 227(b). (4) Information concerning the placement of a telephone number on the National Do Not Call Registry operated by the Federal Trade Commission.
