Establishment of rules and regulations

Sec. 1. (a) Subject to subsection (b), a cemetery owner has the right to establish reasonable rules and regulations regarding the: (1) type; (2) material; (3) design; (4) composition; and (5) finish; of any commodity to be used or installed in the cemetery.       (b) After June 30, 2022, a cemetery owner may not do the following: (1) Require a person purchasing burial rights in the cemetery under a contract subject to IC 30-2-13-12.5 to have a vault installed in the cemetery before the death of the purchaser. (2) Allow any other person providing services or commodities to a person purchasing burial rights in the cemetery to install a vault in the cemetery before the death of the purchaser.
