Application for assumed business name

Sec. 40. (a) The secretary of state shall collect the following fees for filing an application for assumed business name electronically: (1) In the case of a for-profit entity, twenty dollars ($20) multiplied by the number of assumed business names stated in the application. (2) In the case of a nonprofit corporation, ten dollars ($10) multiplied by the number of assumed business names stated in the application.       (b) The secretary of state shall collect the following fees for filing an application for assumed business name in a manner other than electronically: (1) In the case of a for-profit entity, thirty dollars ($30) multiplied by the number of assumed business names stated in the application. (2) In the case of a nonprofit corporation, twenty-six dollars ($26) multiplied by the number of assumed business names stated in the application.
