Civil rights commission; appointment of members; meetings

Sec. 5. The members of the Commission shall be appointed within thirty (30) days after the effective date of this chapter and the first meeting thereof shall be called by the member first appointed within sixty (60) days after the effective date of this chapter.       At its first meeting and at each annual meeting held thereafter, the Commission shall organize by the election of a chairman and vice chairman from its membership, each of whom, except those first elected, shall serve for a term of one (1) year and until his successor is elected.       The Commission shall hold one (1) regular meeting each month, and such called meetings as its chairman may deem to be necessary.
