Notice; worker's compensation coverage; mobile or remote employees

Sec. 22. (a) Each employer subject to IC 22-3-2 through IC 22-3-6 shall post a notice in the employer's place of business to inform the employees that their employment is covered by worker's compensation. The notice must also contain the name, address, and telephone number of the employer's insurance carrier or the person responsible for administering the employer's worker's compensation claims if the employer is self insured.       (b) The notice required under this section must be in a form approved by the board and shall be posted at a conspicuous location at the employer's place of business to provide reasonable notice to all employees. If the employer is required by federal law or regulation to post a notice for the employer's employees, the notice required under this section must be posted in the same location or locations where the notice required by federal law or regulation is posted.       (c) An employer that has mobile or remote employees shall convey the information required under subsection (a) to the employer's employees in an electronic format or in the same manner as the employer conveys other employment related information. Changes to the information required under subsection (a) must be conveyed promptly to the employer's employees in the same manner.       (d) An employer who fails to comply with this section is subject to a civil penalty under IC 22-3-4-15 .   IC 22-3-3 Chapter 3.
