Sec. 7. A report is not required under sections 5 through 6 of this chapter if: (1) a federal statute or regulation; (2) IC 20-28-10-17 , IC 25-33-1-17 , IC 34-46-3-1 , or another state statute; or (3) a rule adopted by a state agency; imposes a duty on the employee of the school corporation or member of the administrative staff not to disclose privileged or confidential information that otherwise would have been the basis of a report.
