Waiver of rights

Sec. 28. Any rights granted to a student or a student's parent by this chapter may be waived only by a written instrument signed by both the student and the student's parent. The waiver is valid if made: (1) voluntarily; and (2) with the knowledge of the: (A) procedures available under this chapter; and (B) consequences of the waiver.
