Sec. 4. The secretary of education shall appoint an academic standards committee composed of: (1) subject area teachers with subject matter expertise; (2) higher education representatives with subject matter expertise; (3) employers; and (4) parents; that is racially and geographically diverse during the period when a subject area is undergoing revision.
