School building construction or alteration; feasibility study

Sec. 36. Before the governing body exercises power granted by any law to spend more than one million dollars ($1,000,000) to build, repair, or alter school buildings that would be financed by: (1) entering into a lease agreement under IC 20-47-2-11 through IC 20-47-2-14 or IC 20-47-3-9 through IC 20-47-3-12 ; (2) issuing bonds under IC 20-48-1 ; or (3) any other available method; the governing body may order the preparation and pay the costs of a feasibility study.
