Sec. 5. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), all appointments to the council are for two (2) years. A legislative member's term expires on June 30 of an odd-numbered year. (b) The term of a member appointed by the governor is four (4) years and expires as follows: (1) June 30, 2025, and each fourth year thereafter for a member appointed under section 4(a)(9) through 4(a)(14) of this chapter. (2) December 31, 2025, and each fourth year thereafter for a member appointed under section 4(a)(15) through 4(a)(19) of this chapter.
