Custody of funds

Sec. 2. (a) The treasurer of state is designated as the custodian of all money received by the state from any appropriations made by the United States Congress for the purpose of cooperating with the several states in promoting the welfare and hygiene of maternity and infancy.       (b) The treasurer of state may receive and provide for the proper custody of money received from the federal government under this chapter. The treasurer of state may make disbursements from that money upon the order of the state department and upon a warrant of the state comptroller. [Pre-1993 Recodification Citation: 16-2-2-2.]
