Physician ordered ambulance services

Sec. 8. When a patient receiving care at a health facility, due to the patient's condition or diagnosis, needs ambulance services other than emergency ambulance services, the patient's attending physician or the physician's designee must sign an order that states: (1) the level of ambulance service needed for the patient; and (2) the condition or diagnosis of the patient that makes the transportation of the patient by ambulance necessary.   IC 16-28-9 Chapter 9.
