Sec. 320.5. "Rural emergency hospital" means a hospital that was, as of December 27, 2020, a federally certified critical access hospital, a rural hospital, or hospital treated as a rural hospital under Section 1886(d)(8)(E) of the Social Security Act, and meets the following requirements: (1) Does not have more than fifty (50) beds. (2) Is granted rural emergency hospital status by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. (3) Meets the requirements for a rural emergency hospital as set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. (4) Is licensed as a rural emergency hospital under IC 16-21-2 .
