Sec. 2. (a) The state veterinarian, acting as the chief administrative officer of the center, is authorized to direct activities of employees of the board and state board: (1) within the statutory authority of each entity; and (2) in furtherance of the purposes set forth in IC 15-17.5-2 . (b) Employees of the board and state board are authorized to perform activities to carry out the purposes of either entity. Any joint use of personnel shall occur under: (1) the applicable administrative standards for the allocation of costs between the board and the state board; and (2) the approval of the entity for which the activities are being performed. (c) The state veterinarian may contract for additional technology, research, or human resources on behalf of the board and the state board: (1) under IC 5-22 or other applicable administrative standards; and (2) with the approval of the regulatory entity or entities that are contributing state funds or other resources.
