Regulation of wells for environmental protection

Sec. 5. The commission shall regulate the drilling, casing, operating, plugging, and abandoning of wells and any related fluid storage to prevent the following: (1) Waste. (2) Fresh water pollution. (3) Blowouts. (4) Cavings. (5) Seepages. (6) Fires. (7) Unreasonably detrimental effects upon fish, wildlife, and botanical resources. [Pre-1995 Recodification Citation: 13-8-4-6.]
