Sec. 20. (a) The three (3) candidates who receive the largest number of votes cast in the initial election of supervisors of a newly reestablished district are elected. (b) The terms of office of the elected supervisors are as follows: (1) The individual receiving the highest number of votes has a three (3) year term of office. (2) The individual receiving the second highest number of votes has a two (2) year term of office. (3) The individual receiving the third highest number of votes has a (1) year term of office. (c) If a tie vote occurs among the three individuals elected as supervisors, the terms of office for those receiving the same number of votes shall be decided by lot.
