Indiana Code § 14-25-4-7

"Water well"

Sec. 7. (a) As used in this chapter, "water well" means an excavation, however constructed, that is used for the purpose of withdrawing ground water for reasonable beneficial uses.       (b) The term does not include agricultural and urban drainage systems.
